Bisleri International has teamed up with Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business to enhance energy efficiency and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. This strategic collaboration, a key initiative under Bisleri’s Greener Promise, reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability.
As part of the partnership, up to 13.6 MW of solar power will be deployed across six major Bisleri plants in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, stated, "Our collaboration with Schneider Electric highlights our dedication to sustainable solutions and the economic advantages of renewable energy. This initiative will boost Bisleri's green energy consumption to nearly 33% while improving energy efficiency by 2.5% across our manufacturing plants. Additionally, it is expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 16,000 tonnes per year, driving us closer to our sustainability goals."
Under its Greener Promise, Bisleri has already integrated rooftop solar panels, contributing 2.5% of its total energy from renewable sources. Furthermore, Phase 1 of its PET bottle lightweighting initiative has led to an annual CO2 footprint reduction of 15,000 tonnes. Beyond energy initiatives, Bisleri remains committed to environmental responsibility through plastic recycling, water conservation, and natural resource replenishment.
