Blue Star, a leading air conditioning solutions company, plans to invest ₹400 crore in FY26 to expand its manufacturing capacity across room air conditioners, commercial refrigeration, and commercial air conditioning. Additionally, ₹200 crore will be allocated to expanding its Sri City plant, increasing room AC production from 8.5 lakh to 12 lakh units.

Further investments include ₹53 crore for a commercial freezer facility near Mumbai and ₹150 crore for commercial air conditioning production in Himachal Pradesh. The company will also introduce a diverse range of commercial refrigeration products in Kolkata, catering to industries such as horticulture, dairy, ice cream, poultry, processed foods, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), HoReCa, marine, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare.

Blue Star is also evaluating capital expenditure for manufacturing in the Eastern region, where its room AC market share has grown from 10% to 13%, and commercial refrigeration share has increased to 8-10% from 7-8%. The company aims to further expand its market presence through innovation, faster delivery, and growth in quick commerce and QSR segments.
