BTL EPC, a Kolkata-based company of the Shrachi Group, has secured a contract valued at ₹153.97 crore from NTPC for the development of a coal handling plant under Part-B, Package-1 of the Kerandari Coal Mining Project in Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, construction, and commissioning of a truck loading system featuring 2,500 TPH-rated trough conveyors, travelling trippers, 400-tonne capacity surge hoppers, belt scales, and provisions for emergency stockpiling. The package also encompasses the construction of a control room and complete mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and control systems. Additionally, the contract covers auxiliary infrastructure such as a cold fog dust suppression system, service and potable water systems, firefighting and detection systems (FDPS), and an associated pump house.
