Andhra University (AU) has inaugurated the Career Planning and Development Centre (CPDC) to enhance student employability and address infrastructure and skill gaps highlighted by industry recruiters.
The CPDC will focus on skill development, career guidance, and job-readiness training, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. As part of the initiative, the university has undertaken several infrastructure upgrades, including the installation of 350 new computers, repairs to hostel kitchens, and the construction of a new conference hall.
In addition, AU is set to establish a C4i4 Lab and a food testing laboratory to promote research and innovation. The AU Health Centre has also expanded its medical team and will soon be equipped with additional healthcare infrastructure.
Furthermore, the university has submitted proposals worth ₹170 crore under the Purvodaya scheme for the development of new hostel facilities, underscoring its commitment to creating a holistic and future-ready learning environment.
