Chennai-based Modulus Housing, following the acquisition of a Rs 65-crore order from the Bihar government for constructing a two-bed hospital, is now exploring a potential contract valued at approximately Rs 500 crore from the state.
This innovative start-up, incubated at IIT-Madras, specializes in collapsible cabin dwellings designed to address infrastructure challenges in diverse sectors, including disaster relief, defense, event management, medical and educational camps, hotels, MSME shops, and laborer housing on construction sites.
Typically undertaking projects of less than 3,000 sq. ft., each costing around Rs 50 lakh, Modulus Housing boasts rapid construction capabilities, completing projects within two to three working days, contingent on the geographical location.
With a construction site lifespan of approximately 50 years, subject to proper maintenance, Modulus Housing has already contributed around 3,000 hospital beds across 21 states.
The company has collaborated with prominent clients such as TATA, Lenovo, AIF, and Shapoorji Pallonji, showcasing its versatility and reliability. Looking ahead, Modulus Housing is eyeing international expansion, particularly in South Africa, as part of its strategic growth plan.
