Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has officially announced the launch of its latest venture: a significant commercial zone project in Kochi, located in Kerala's Ernakulam district. The project, with an estimated contract value of Rs 122.4 crore, is set to be a major development for the region, promising to boost local commerce and infrastructure.
The scope of the project includes comprehensive civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works, which are expected to be completed within a 24-month timeline. This duration will be counted from the fifteenth day following the commencement date of the work or the date of site handover, whichever occurs later.
CIAL has set a deadline for bid submissions on August 29, 2024, inviting interested parties to participate in this high-stakes opportunity. The project is anticipated to enhance the commercial landscape of Kochi, providing new avenues for business and employment.
This development aligns with CIAL’s ongoing efforts to expand and modernize its facilities, positioning Kochi as a key player in the regional economy. Stakeholders and contractors are keenly awaiting the bid results, which could mark the beginning of a transformative phase for the area.
