Darshan Pharmachem Private Limited is embarking on an expansion project for its Bulk Drugs Intermediates Manufacturing Unit in Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Gujarat, with a total investment of ₹9 Crore. This expansion aims to augment the existing manufacturing capabilities by infusing an additional ₹4 Crore into the facility, bringing the total project cost to ₹9 Crore, up from the existing ₹5 Crore investment. The project highlights include the expansion of the existing manufacturing unit, with a significant focus on environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
One of the key highlights of the project is the substantial greenbelt area, exceeding 40% of the total land area. This commitment to greenery not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the facility but also contributes to environmental preservation and biodiversity conservation. Additionally, the project prioritizes the utilization of cleaner fuel options, such as natural gas and bio-coal, to minimize emissions and reduce the environmental footprint of operations.
Water conservation measures are integral to the project, with specific allocations for industrial, domestic, and gardening water consumption. The implementation of efficient water management practices ensures the responsible use of this vital resource, contributing to sustainability efforts in the region. Moreover, a dedicated budget has been allocated for pollution control measures, amounting to ₹1.37 Crore, underscoring the company's commitment to environmental stewardship.
In terms of waste management, the project incorporates comprehensive strategies for the treatment and disposal of various waste streams. Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) are employed to treat industrial wastewater, with a capacity to handle 25.5 KLD (Kilo Litres per Day). Furthermore, domestic wastewater is combined with industrial effluent before undergoing treatment in the ETP, demonstrating an integrated approach to wastewater management. The facility also addresses solid waste management through proper segregation and disposal practices for diverse waste types, including process waste, discarded containers, and off-specification products.
Powered by DGVCL (Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited) with a capacity of 200 KVA, the project ensures a reliable power supply to support uninterrupted operations. Additionally, a comprehensive gas treatment system is integrated into the facility to manage emissions effectively and minimize air pollution. These measures collectively underscore Darshan Pharmachem's commitment to responsible and sustainable manufacturing practices, aligning with the broader goals of environmental conservation and community well-being.
