Dilip Buildcon has secured a significant rail infrastructure contract in Kerala, emerging as the lowest bidder (L1) for an EPC project awarded by the Konkan Railway Corporation. The project involves constructing a twin-tube unidirectional tunnel in the Kozhikode and Wayanad districts, marking a major milestone for the company in the region.
The contract, valued at ₹1,341 crore, also includes the development of a four-lane approach road that will provide direct connectivity between Anakkampoyil, Kalladi, and Meppadi. The road spans from km 0.460 to km 8.735, covering a total length of 8.275 km under Package-II of the project.
This project is critical for enhancing transportation infrastructure in Kerala, particularly in the hilly regions of Kozhikode and Wayanad. The twin-tube tunnel will facilitate smoother and safer travel through these challenging terrains, addressing a long-standing need for improved connectivity in the area.
Dilip Buildcon's expertise in handling complex infrastructure projects was a key factor in securing this contract. The company’s proven track record in delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget has reinforced its position as a leading player in the Indian infrastructure sector.
This new contract not only strengthens Dilip Buildcon’s portfolio but also contributes to the overall development of Kerala’s infrastructure, promising better connectivity and boosting regional growth.
