Dixon Technologies has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a ₹1,000 crore electronics manufacturing facility in Oragadam, situated in the Kancheepuram district near Chennai.
The MoU was signed during a formal event at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat, in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, and senior government officials. Sunil Vachani, Executive Chairman of Dixon Technologies, exchanged the documents with Dr. Darez Ahamed, Managing Director and CEO of Tamil Nadu’s Guidance Bureau.
The new facility will be located within the Indospace Industrial Park in Oragadam, approximately 45 km south of Chennai. It will focus on the production of laptops, all-in-one personal computers, and provide electronic manufacturing services (EMS) to a diverse range of partner companies. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for around 5,000 people, supporting Tamil Nadu’s efforts to drive industrial development and job creation.
