Magnum Ice Cream, a Unilever brand, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to establish its India headquarters in Mumbai. This new hub will also serve as the regional headquarters for the Middle East, Turkey, and South Asia.
As part of the expansion, Magnum will also set up a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, backed by an investment of ₹900 crore. The initiative is expected to create over 500 direct jobs by 2029.
The announcement was made at the India Global Forum NXT25 Summit in Mumbai, where the state government secured MoUs totaling nearly USD 50 billion from various global and domestic investors.
This strategic move reinforces Magnum’s commitment to India, enhancing its role in the global value chain and positioning the country as a key hub for multinational operations across consumer and technology sectors. Leveraging Mumbai’s status as a commercial powerhouse, the new headquarters will oversee operations in some of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
