Durgapur Power Plant Gets Coal Lifeline from Singareni Collieries

National power generating company NSPCL, headquartered in Durgapur, West Bengal, has entered into an agreement with Singareni Collieries Company for the supply of five lakh tonnes of coal during the current financial year.

The agreement, finalized on 15 May 2025 under the guidance of Singareni Chairman and Managing Director N. Balaram, ensures a consistent coal supply to NSPCL’s thermal power plant in Durgapur.

This collaboration aims to secure uninterrupted power generation in the region and highlights a strategic partnership to support energy security and industrial synergy between the two organizations.
