Epic Energy to Launch 35 MWp Solar Park in Maharashtra

Epic Energy Ltd. has announced a major expansion in the renewable energy sector by partnering with Niva Ecotech Pvt. Ltd. to develop a 35 MWp Solar Park in Solapur, Maharashtra. This ambitious project marks Epic Energy's first collaboration with Niva and is a significant step toward enhancing India’s solar energy capacity.

Pranav Chhatre, Director of Epic Renewable Projects Private Limited, a subsidiary focused on solar park development, expressed excitement about the venture. "This project is a crucial milestone for us, and we have already identified promising sites in Solapur for the 35 MWp solar park. Our long-term goal is to achieve a total installed capacity of 140 MWp within the next two years," said Chhatre. The project is expected to play a pivotal role in scaling up the company's renewable energy portfolio.

Solapur's favorable conditions for solar energy projects were highlighted by Ajay Mundada, Director of Niva Ecotech Pvt. Ltd. "Solapur offers ideal conditions for solar energy generation. With Niva's successful track record in the region, our partnership with Epic will significantly contribute to advancing solar energy initiatives in India," Mundada stated. The collaboration aims to leverage Niva's expertise in the region to ensure the success of the solar park.

Nikhil Morsawala, CFO of Epic Energy, outlined the strategic business model for the solar park. "We are in advanced negotiations with several leading corporations to establish solar energy plants at the Solapur park under the Group Captive Open Access system. This initiative will help corporations reduce their carbon footprint, meet ESG goals, and lower energy costs," Morsawala explained. This model is designed to attract corporate clients seeking sustainable energy solutions.

With the development of the Solapur Solar Park, Epic Energy and Niva Ecotech are set to make a significant impact on India's renewable energy landscape, reinforcing their commitment to sustainability and clean energy. This project is expected to be a key driver in the growth of solar energy in Maharashtra and beyond.
