From Sanand to the World: Kaynes' Semiconductor Superfactory.

Kaynes Technology recently announced plans to commission a pilot production line at its ₹3,300 crore semiconductor facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The unit, focused on chip assembly, testing, and packaging, is set to begin operations by June 2025.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the plant, developed by Kaynes Semicon Private Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaynes Technology India Ltd, took place on Wednesday. The company further confirmed that full-scale production will commence by January 2026.

With a daily capacity to assemble, test, mark, and package 60 lakh chips, the facility will cater to industries such as automotive, electric vehicles, industrial, consumer electronics, IT, telecom, and mobile phones.

Kaynes Technology has entered a multi-year, multi-million-dollar partnership with Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Ltd (AOS), a leading global supplier of semiconductor products, including Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and IPMs.

To strengthen its semiconductor operations, Kaynes has also signed agreements with various technology and supply chain partners. Additionally, the company announced strategic cooperation agreements with eight institutions to drive skill development in the semiconductor sector.
