Gensol Engineering Bags Rs 463 Cr Solar Project

Gensol Engineering has been awarded a significant contract valued at Rs 463 crore for a solar plant at Khavda RE Power Park in Gujarat. This comprehensive project includes engineering, design, procurement, erection, testing, and commissioning, featuring a fixed tilt module mounting structure and the remaining balance of the system.

The company is actively executing solar projects totaling around one gigawatt. Gensol's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio was evident in September 2023 when it acquired Scorpius Trackers, a provider of innovative single-axis solar tracking solutions. This acquisition is set to enhance Gensol's capabilities in delivering advanced solar projects.

Gensol's diversification into the electric vehicle (EV) market is marked by the establishment of an EV manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. This facility boasts a production capacity of 30,000 vehicles annually, underscoring the company's commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.

With this new project, Gensol Engineering continues to solidify its position as a key player in the renewable energy sector, driving forward India's green energy goals and contributing to a more sustainable future.
