Gigamon, the US-based leader in deep observability, has inaugurated a sprawling 76,767 sq ft office in Chennai's new Olympia Cyber Space building. This facility marks Gigamon's second-largest office globally, trailing only its Santa Clara headquarters.
The Chennai office will function as a secondary headquarters to meet the growing global demand for the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline. This advanced solution offers network-derived intelligence to cloud, security, and observability tools. With a capacity for 1,000 employees, the office will support diverse functions such as engineering, sales, customer support, and HR.
Gigamon's journey in Chennai began with a small R&D-focused office in 2015. Since then, the company has significantly scaled its operations. The Deep Observability Pipeline aids organizations in eliminating security blind spots, optimizing network traffic, and reducing tool costs, thereby enhancing hybrid cloud infrastructure security and management.
Shane Buckley, president and CEO of Gigamon, emphasized India's pivotal role as the fastest-growing economy in the G20. The new Chennai office enables Gigamon to better serve the increasing demand for its solutions in India, the broader APAC region, and globally.
Gigamon's extensive client base includes over 4,000 customers worldwide, encompassing more than 80 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, nine of the ten largest mobile network providers, and numerous government and educational organizations.
