Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has signed a framework agreement to expand its Ginger brand with the addition of seven new hotels across key cities in North India.
The agreement forms part of IHCL’s growth strategy and includes a mix of greenfield and brownfield developments. The expansion has already commenced with the opening of the 59-key Ginger Gurugram, Sector 1, located in Palam Vihar, Haryana. Collectively, the seven hotels will add over 1,000 rooms to the Ginger portfolio, with properties planned in Jaipur, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Hisar, and Karnal, all under fully fitted lease arrangements.
Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said the agreement with Rajdarbar Group underscores the Ginger brand’s strong potential across metros, state capitals, commercial hubs, industrial townships, pilgrimage destinations, and leisure circuits.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Garg, Founder of Rajdarbar Group, a prominent real estate developer behind projects such as Global Foyer GCR and Global Foyer Palam Vihar in Gurugram, welcomed the partnership and expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. The initiative marks a significant milestone in the expansion plans of both IHCL and Rajdarbar Group in the hospitality sector.
