Godavari Bio Management Plans Common Bio Medical Waste Project in Andhra Pradesh

Godavari Bio Management is coming up with a new Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility Project at Sy. No 258, Marripudi Village, Rangampeta Mandal, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to treat 3 TPD of CBMW generated from various healthcare facilities in the region. The facility will utilize modern technologies and adhere to stringent environmental standards to ensure safe and effective treatment of CBMW. Total Cost of project is  2.2 Crores.

Bio-medical waste is segregated at the point of generation to prevent contamination of other waste streams. Bio-medical waste is collected from healthcare facilities in specially designed containers.  Bio-medical waste is transported to a CBMWT facility by licensed transporters. Bio-medical waste is treated at the CBMWT facility using a variety of methods, such as incineration, autoclaving, and microwaving. Treated bio-medical waste is disposed of in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

As on November 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started. The completion of the project's work has reached the 55% mark. The work on the project will be finished by December of 2024.
