Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) has acquired a 90-acre land parcel in Khalapur, Maharashtra, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy. This acquisition follows closely on the heels of securing two plots in Greater Noida, underscoring the company’s aggressive approach to broadening its footprint across India’s key real estate markets.
The Khalapur land, located about 70 kilometers from Mumbai’s city center, positions GPL to capitalize on the growing demand for residential development in the Mumbai metropolitan region. This strategic move complements the recent acquisitions in Greater Noida, where the plots are poised to benefit from the proximity to Delhi, Noida, and the upcoming Jewar airport.
Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, highlighted the significance of the Khalapur acquisition, noting the rising popularity of residential plotted developments. “Khalapur is emerging as a promising location. Building on the success of our previous project, Godrej Hillview Estate, we aim to strengthen our presence in the region and develop a residential community that delivers long-term value to its residents,” Pandey stated.
The Khalapur acquisition is expected to contribute to GPL’s growth by catering to the increasing demand for high-quality residential spaces in and around Mumbai. This move reaffirms GPL’s commitment to expanding its land portfolio in high-potential markets across India.
With this latest addition, Godrej Properties continues to solidify its position as a leading developer, focused on creating sustainable and valuable communities in strategic locations nationwide.
