Godrej's Global Push: Rs 200 Crore Investment Supercharges Dahej Facility

Godrej Enterprises Group has announced an additional investment of Rs 200 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat, with the goal of enhancing its equipment manufacturing processes. This follows a previous investment of Rs 300 crore in the facility.

The Phase-III expansion will significantly increase the plant's annual manufacturing capacity to around 30,000 MT. The expansion will include the addition of new production space, the development of dust-free enclosures for manufacturing exotic materials, dedicated bays for internals production, and the creation of extended manufacturing yards. Seventy percent of the facility's output is exported to over 40 countries across six continents, with a focus on markets in the Americas and the Middle East.

This expansion will allow the facility to manufacture high-end, critical process equipment for sectors such as hydrogen, nuclear, geothermal energy, and petrochemical refining. It will feature an extended fabrication yard, an advanced heat treatment furnace, and a sea-going jetty for the direct loading and transport of over-dimensional equipment to international markets.

"As demand for specialized process equipment in the clean energy sector grows, manufacturers must adapt to meet the complex needs of the industry. This strategic expansion at our Dahej facility highlights our commitment to leading this transformation," said Hussain Shariyarr, Executive Vice President and Business Head of the Process Equipment business at Godrej Enterprises Group.
