Green Light for IndianOil’s ₹3,400-Cr Ennore Terminal Expansion

IndianOil LNG Pvt Ltd (IOLPL) has received environmental clearance from the MoEFCC for a ₹3,400-crore expansion of its Ennore LNG terminal. The approval clears the way for the company to double the facility's regasification capacity from 5 MTPA to 10 MTPA (40 MMSCMD). Originally commissioned in 2019 with built-in provision for expansion, the terminal serves a rapidly growing demand for natural gas in the region. Once complete, the expanded infrastructure will secure a steady supply of regasified LNG (RLNG) for key industrial sectors across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
