MEIL Achieves Landmark Milestone in NPCIL’s Kaiga Nuclear Project

Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has achieved a major construction milestone at the Kaiga Units 5 and 6 nuclear power project in Karnataka. Marking its maiden nuclear assignment, the Hyderabad-based infrastructure giant successfully completed one of the largest monolithic concrete pours in NPCIL's pressurized heavy water reactor (PHWR) history. The continuous operation involved placing approximately 7,250 cubic meters of concrete with a massive reinforcement steel (rebar) density of 360 kg per cubic meter. Executing a pour of this scale highlights MEIL’s engineering capabilities, meticulous planning, and execution expertise in ultra-demanding infrastructure sectors.
