Gurugram’s upcoming 35.2 km elevated metro corridor from Sector 56 to Pachgaon is close to receiving approval, with the Detailed Project Report (DPR) expected to be submitted to the Haryana government within a week. Estimated at ₹8,500 crore, the project will feature 28 stations and significantly enhance connectivity across key residential, commercial, and industrial areas in Gurugram and Manesar.
The DPR, prepared by RITES, is currently under review by the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC). Upon state approval, it will be forwarded to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for final clearance. Originally conceived as an equity-sharing model, the metro line will now be fully state-funded.
The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has already pledged ₹1,500 crore toward the project. The corridor will serve major zones including Golf Course Extension Road, Dwarka Expressway, Global City, and Manesar. It will integrate with the existing Rapid Metro at Sector 56 and connect to the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) at Pachgaon and Kherki Daula. Meanwhile, a separate metro line from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City is also under development.
