The Haryana government has extended the Atma Nirbhar Textile Policy 2022-25 by one year, now valid until December 18, 2026. This policy aims to strengthen the textile sector by enhancing entrepreneurial competitiveness, modern infrastructure, advanced technologies, and sustainable production practices.
A key decision in the extension is the removal of the cap on cases under the Capital Investment Subsidy for Textile Units scheme, further supporting the policy's goal of attracting ₹4,000 crore in investments and creating 20,000 jobs. The announcement was made during a Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Aligned with India’s 5F vision – Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign – the policy offers incentives such as Capital Investment Subsidy, Interest Subsidy, and Investment Subsidy in lieu of Net SGST, fostering a modern and competitive textile ecosystem.
