Adani Seeks Land for Ahmedabad SEZ & Gandhinagar Township

Adani Group has requested land from the Gujarat government to develop a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Ahmedabad and a township in Gandhinagar. The request, disclosed in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, involves a land exchange proposal with the state government.

According to a government response to Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar’s inquiry, Adani Group has sought 29,847 sq. mtrs. in Ahmedabad—comprising 18,718 sq. mtrs. from Survey Number 329 and 11,129 sq. mtrs. from Survey Number 361. In return, the company has offered 33,286 sq. mtrs. from Survey Number 292 in Moje Khodiyar, Daskroi taluka. The proposed SEZ is part of a modern township development.

Additionally, Adani Group has requested 63,334 sq. mtrs. in Gandhinagar for a township, offering 61,211 sq. mtrs. in Dantali taluka in exchange. The company has also sought 202 sq. mtrs. in Kalol taluka. These requests are currently under government review.

Adani Group previously developed the 580-acre "Adani Shantigram" township in Ahmedabad, launched in 2010, which now houses around 7,000 families.
