Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has sold its North Gujarat bottling operations to Kandhari Global Beverages for approximately Rs 2,000 crore. This move is part of HCCB’s asset-light strategy, following similar divestments in Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal, and the Northeast during FY24.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. HCCB emphasized that the decision ensures optimal investment levels while enhancing operational scale and business continuity.
Additionally, the company has “synergized, restructured, and consolidated” its operations in eastern and central India through bottling divestments. Despite these sales, HCCB invested Rs 1,963 crore in FY24 to expand its manufacturing capacity nationwide.
