India's Green Giant: Adani Expands to 14.5 GW

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has expanded its total operational renewable energy capacity to 14,528.4 MW with the commissioning of an additional 187.5 MW solar power project in Khavda, Gujarat.

Developed by Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AGEL, the project received operational clearance on 21 May 2025 and became fully operational on 22 May 2025. This new addition further strengthens AGEL’s position as one of the largest renewable energy developers in India and globally.

The Khavda solar plant forms a key part of AGEL’s strategic efforts to accelerate India’s clean energy transition and achieve national sustainability goals. Through continued investment in solar and wind infrastructure, AGEL remains committed to innovation, scalability, and sustainability in the renewable energy sector.
