The New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has issued a tender to select a development partner for establishing a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to energy processing facility in Nellore.
The project, valued at Rs 200 crore, will be implemented under a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model for a designated quantity of MSW. It includes the construction and operation of MSW processing units, a waste-to-energy (WtE) facility, and a scientific landfill for residual waste disposal.
The selected concessionaire must achieve the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the WtE facility within 24 months from the effective date and will be responsible for its operation and maintenance for 25 years.
The deadline for bid submission is 19 March 2025.
