Jakson Goes 6 GW: ₹8,000 Cr. Solar Project Launched in MP

Jakson Group has launched its ₹8,000-crore investment plan to build a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh.

On 16 November 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for Phase 1, which will establish 3 GW of solar cell and 4 GW of solar module production capacity. Over the next three years, the full project will expand to a 6 GW end-to-end manufacturing ecosystem—including ingot, wafer, cell, and module production—and is expected to create nearly 4,000 jobs. Phase 1 alone represents an investment of ₹2,000 crore and will generate about 1,700 employment opportunities.

CM Yadav highlighted that the new solar manufacturing hub in Maksi will bolster Madhya Pradesh’s role as a key centre for clean energy production and logistics, while advancing India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Jakson Group Chairman Sameer Gupta added that the facility will strengthen technological self-reliance and significantly enhance India’s clean energy manufacturing capacity from the heart of the country.
