Janki Irons Up for Growth: 140 Crore Expansion Heats Up Karnataka!

Janki Corporation Limited is set to expand its operations with a significant investment of 140 Crores in a Sponge Iron Project located at Sidiginamola, Ballari, Karnataka. This expansion project underscores the company's commitment to enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and meeting the growing demand for sponge iron in the region. With an annual production capacity of 0.36 lakh tons per annum (tpa), the project aims to bolster the supply of this vital steelmaking ingredient.

In addition to sponge iron production, the project includes a Pellets unit with an annual capacity of 1.2 lakh tons per annum (tpa), further diversifying Janki Corporation Limited's product portfolio. Pellets serve as a crucial raw material in steel production, providing consistency and efficiency in the metallurgical process. By integrating pellet production alongside sponge iron manufacturing, the company ensures a streamlined and sustainable supply chain.

The choice of Sidiginamola in Ballari, Karnataka, as the project location, is strategic, given the area's rich reserves of iron ore and proximity to key transportation networks. Situated amidst the mineral-rich landscapes of Karnataka, Sidiginamola offers abundant resources and logistical advantages for steelmaking operations. Moreover, the expansion project is expected to create employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the local community.
