JDA Launches Land Acquisition for Jagatpura’s Missing Link Road

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has officially launched land acquisition proceedings to complete a vital 600-metre missing link off Mahal Road in Jaipur’s Jagatpura region. To facilitate this, the authority has issued acquisition notices to 27 landholders, covering approximately 24,000 square metres of land in the Prahladpura area.

Currently, this unpaved and incomplete Master Plan sector road disrupts direct connectivity between the Prahladpura Industrial Area and the Ring Road, forcing commuters and logistics traffic into major detours. On July 2, officials from the Sanganer Sub-Divisional Magistrate and the Jaipur Municipal Corporation met with affected landowners to issue notices and discuss compensation framework guidelines.

Once paved, the missing stretch will provide over 200 local industrial units with streamlined highway access. Furthermore, it will allow commuters traveling from Mahal Road toward Tonk Road to entirely bypass the heavily congested Bilwa and Prahladpura underpasses, eventually integrating with the upcoming Tonk Road cloverleaf interchange.
