JJ Hospital to Invest ₹728 Crore in On-Campus Luxury Residential Complex

JJ Hospital has announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art residential complex on its campus with an investment of ₹728 crore. This ambitious project aims to replace the aging infrastructure with eight luxury towers, providing modern and upscale living accommodations for the hospital’s doctors, nurses, and other staff members. The new complex is designed to create a more hygienic and comfortable living environment, addressing the dilapidated conditions of the existing quarters.

The redevelopment plan, approved by the state government, will see the demolition of the old structures, making way for the new towers, which will include podium parking, serene gardens, and a swimming pool. Among these, a 22-storey tower will be dedicated to Class 1 and 2 staff, offering 40 spacious three-bedroom flats, each spanning 1,152 sq. ft., and 110 two-bedroom flats of 872 sq. ft. These units are designed with an emphasis on luxury and comfort, ensuring a high standard of living for the hospital’s senior personnel.

For the Class 3 employees, the project will include three 34-storey towers housing 612 one-bedroom flats. Additionally, four towers will be constructed for the Class 4 staff, offering 816 modern one-bedroom flats. The entire project has been meticulously planned to cater to the diverse needs of the hospital’s workforce, ensuring that all staff members have access to quality housing.

The blueprint for the new residential complex has been prepared by the Public Works Department (PWD), ensuring that the design meets the highest standards of construction and aesthetics. This redevelopment is part of a broader effort to modernize the hospital's facilities and improve the overall quality of life for its employees.

By investing in this luxury residential complex, JJ Hospital is setting a new benchmark for staff housing in the healthcare sector, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being and satisfaction of its employees.
