JK Lakshmi Cement Plots ₹3,000 Cr Mega Expansion

JK Lakshmi Cement is advancing a major expansion plan that includes the establishment of a 2.3 million tonne per annum (TPA) clinker line at its Durg Plant along with four grinding units having a combined capacity of 4.6 million TPA.

The company is also developing split-location grinding units in Prayagraj, Madhubani, and Patratu, with a total capacity of 3.4 million TPA. The overall expansion programme involves an investment of around ₹3,000 crore and is targeted for completion by March 2028.

In addition, JK Lakshmi Cement is constructing a railway siding at its Durg facility and strengthening its sustainability initiatives. Renewable energy currently contributes 46% to the company’s power mix, while efforts are underway to improve the thermal substitution rate at its Sirohi Facility. The company reported a 52% increase in net profit to ₹430.34 crore for FY26, supported by higher sales volumes and improved operational efficiency.
