HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG), India’s largest dedicated cancer hospital network, has launched a new comprehensive cancer hospital in Byatarayanapura in North Bengaluru.
The 110-bed facility marks a significant expansion of precision oncology services in Karnataka and brings together cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery support, and patient-centric care under a single integrated platform. A major highlight of the hospital is the installation of Karnataka’s first Elekta Unity MR-Linac, an advanced radiation therapy technology that combines high-resolution MRI imaging with a linear accelerator to deliver highly precise and adaptive cancer treatment.
The hospital is also equipped with Accuray TomoTherapy with Radixact to strengthen radiation oncology capabilities, along with an 80-slice Digital PET-CT scanner for high-precision diagnostic imaging. Designed as a full-spectrum oncology centre, the facility offers integrated clinical services backed by advanced diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Dr B. S. Ajaikumar said cancer care is increasingly becoming data-driven and technology-oriented, with a stronger focus on improving long-term patient outcomes. He added that the company aims not only to reduce recurrence rates but also to make advanced and metastatic cancers more manageable through personalised and multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
