John Cockerill India has secured a contract worth approximately Rs 270 crore from JSW JFE Electrical Steel for its Nashik facility. The order involves the engineering, design, manufacturing, and supply of key equipment for tunnel furnaces, aimed at boosting the plant’s production capabilities.
The scope of work includes supplying all critical components—particularly the coil handling systems—along with supervising the erection and commissioning of the production line. John Cockerill India will also ensure the project meets the contractual performance guarantees through close oversight of installation and start-up activities.
In addition, the contract covers customized engineering and design solutions tailored to JSW JFE Electrical Steel’s operational needs. The project timeline extends through May 2027, marking a multi-year collaboration focused on enhancing efficiency and technical performance.
This order highlights John Cockerill India’s expertise in delivering complex, high-value industrial systems and strengthens its position as a key player in India’s steel sector infrastructure development.
