SMKMC Invites Tenders for Storm Water Drainage Project

The Sangli Miraj & Kupwad City Municipal Corporation (SMKMC) has floated a tender for the construction and implementation of storm water drainage infrastructure, aimed at mitigating urban flooding risks.

This initiative falls under the Maharashtra Resilience Development Project (MRDP), which seeks to strengthen urban resilience against flood-related hazards. The project will enhance storm water management systems across Sangli, Miraj, and Kupwad, helping reduce waterlogging during periods of heavy rainfall.

The scope includes the design and construction of efficient drainage infrastructure to protect vulnerable urban areas, improve living conditions, and ensure sustainable urban development. The project also supports the state's broader disaster risk reduction strategy by upgrading critical civic infrastructure and building institutional capacity within the municipal corporation.

The deadline for bid submission is September 23, 2025.
