Belgium-based engineering firm John Cockerill is set to play a key role in India’s expanding nuclear sector by providing critical equipment and services.

Through its subsidiary, John Cockerill Hamon, the company is also exploring the development of cooling towers for upcoming nuclear plants.

Beyond nuclear, John Cockerill is investing in India’s green hydrogen sector through a joint venture with Greenko. The partnership is developing a 2 GW electrolyser manufacturing facility in Kakinada, set to begin production in Q4 2026.

Specializing in the replacement and upgrade of key nuclear components, John Cockerill enhances plant safety and extends operational lifespans. It provides machining, on-site repairs, and engineering services for reactors ranging from 900 MW to 1,450 MW.
