Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi laid the foundation stone for a ₹61.96 crore drinking water project in Nayagaon Vijaypur Hathibarkala in Dehradun district, Uttarakhand, on 16 November 2025.
The project, which includes the construction of a tube well and an overhead water tank, is designed to ensure a reliable and consistent water supply for thousands of local residents. Minister Joshi highlighted the state government’s commitment to development under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, emphasizing the focus on strengthening basic amenities and ensuring timely delivery of public projects.
During the event, the Minister also announced additional local development initiatives, including the widening of the Nayagaon road, installation of a tin shed at the Brahmin Sabha in Nawada, and the provision of a generator set for the community hall. He directed officials to complete all works within the stipulated timeframe. Residents welcomed the project, which is expected to significantly improve the area’s water supply infrastructure.
