Karnataka Floats ₹263.98 Crore Tender for Anwal Lift Irrigation Scheme-II

Karnataka Neeravari Nigam has issued a tender for the Anwal Lift Irrigation Scheme-II, located in Badami taluk, Bagalkote district. The project aims to enhance irrigation infrastructure and boost water availability in the region through advanced engineering solutions.

The scope of work includes the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the main pipe system, along with essential components like anchor blocks, thrust blocks, surge protection works, and a delivery chamber at ch-148.8 of the Ghataprabha Right Bank Canal. These upgrades will ensure a reliable and efficient irrigation system.

Estimated at ₹263.98 crore, the project will significantly improve water distribution for agricultural use in the area, supporting local farmers and communities. The contract also covers operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a five-year period post-completion, ensuring long-term functionality.

The government has set a deadline of 01 October 2024 for bid submissions, inviting contractors to participate in this critical infrastructure development. The project's completion is expected to drive agricultural growth in the region.
