Katpadi Junction’s ₹264 Crore Makeover: Bids Now Open!

Southern Railway has invited bids for the redevelopment of Katpadi Junction railway station, covering the balance work required for the project.

The redevelopment will be undertaken under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode, streamlining the design, procurement, and construction processes. The contract, valued at ₹263.69 crore, aims to modernise and upgrade facilities at Katpadi Junction to better accommodate the growing passenger footfall. The project is expected to enhance station infrastructure, improve passenger amenities, and ensure smoother operations, in line with ongoing efforts to modernise key transport hubs across Tamil Nadu.

The closing date for bid submission is 02 March 2026.
