KPI Green Scores 50 MW Hybrid Power Deal with GUVNL

KPI Green Energy has successfully signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for a 50 MW solar-wind hybrid power project. This contract, which includes 50 MW of solar and 16.80 MW of wind power, was awarded through a competitive bidding process by GUVNL in November 2023. KPI Green Energy secured the project through a reverse e-auction held in January 2024.

This achievement is a significant milestone for KPI Green Energy as it accelerates the company's efforts to reach its ambitious goal of 1,000 MWp capacity by 2025. The hybrid project will contribute to the nation's renewable energy (RE) goals by delivering environmentally friendly and sustainable energy solutions.

The hybrid nature of the project, combining both solar and wind power, ensures a more reliable and consistent energy supply. This approach aligns with global trends towards diversified renewable energy portfolios, enhancing energy security and stability.

KPI Green Energy's successful bid and subsequent PPA with GUVNL highlight the company's growing prominence in the renewable energy sector. The project not only reinforces KPI Green Energy's commitment to sustainability but also supports Gujarat's vision of becoming a leading hub for renewable energy.

As the company moves forward with this project, it continues to pave the way for a greener and more sustainable energy future, setting a benchmark for other companies in the renewable energy industry.
