With Andhra Pradesh redrawing its district boundaries, the Kris City project in SPSR Nellore district has come back into focus as a major industrial development initiative.
District Collector Himanshu Shukla recently inspected the land earmarked for the project, which is being developed with an estimated investment of ₹1,100 crore. The project includes large industrial plots ranging from 100 to 200 acres, along with logistics hubs and warehouses that will be directly connected to the nearby Krishnapatnam Port. “We are confident of completing the major infrastructure works under Phase I before the end of 2026,” the District Collector said.
Spread across 7,500 acres, Kris City is strategically located just 10 km from Krishnapatnam Port, one of the country’s fastest-growing ports. The project benefits from strong multimodal connectivity through highways, rail networks, and nearby airports. It is a key component of the Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor and is aimed at boosting industrial growth and enhancing India’s global competitiveness.
