Chennai-based Kshema Power has secured a ₹108 crore contract to construct a 400kV transmission line in Ananthapuram district, Andhra Pradesh, marking its strategic re-entry into the extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission segment.
The 42-km single-circuit line, mounted on double-circuit towers, will facilitate power evacuation from a 1 GW wind farm, significantly bolstering the region’s renewable energy infrastructure and contributing to grid stability.
Kshema Power will manage the entire project lifecycle, including:
Design approvals, Procurement and material sourcing, Civil works and tower erection, Regulatory clearances, Testing and commissioning
The company plans to deploy specialised execution teams, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
This transmission project is a key step in enabling large-scale renewable energy integration into the national grid, aligning with India’s broader clean energy goals and infrastructure expansion.
