Kusum Smelters Inspires Growth in Chhattisgarh with ₹557 Crore Sponge Iron Project

Kusum Smelters Private Limited is embarking on a major expansion with its new Sponge Iron Project located in Dhamni, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. With an investment of 557 crores, this ambitious project is set to enhance the company's production capabilities significantly. Spanning an area of 26.19 acres, the site will host a state-of-the-art facility designed for the large-scale production of sponge iron.

The project aims to produce 2.45 lakh tonnes per annum (LTPA) of sponge iron, an essential raw material used in the steel manufacturing industry. This substantial increase in production is poised to meet the growing demand for steel, particularly in the burgeoning markets of India where infrastructure and construction projects are on the rise.

Strategically situated in the steel hub of Chhattisgarh, the Dhamni facility benefits from close proximity to essential raw materials and transportation links. This location not only facilitates efficient supply chain logistics but also ensures a steady stream of resources necessary for uninterrupted production. Such strategic planning underscores Kusum Smelters' commitment to optimizing production efficiency and reducing operational costs.

Kusum Smelters is dedicated to implementing environmentally sustainable practices throughout its operations. The new facility will incorporate advanced technology that reduces waste and lowers emissions, aligning with national environmental standards and demonstrating the company's commitment to responsible industrial growth. This approach not only ensures compliance with environmental regulations but also positions Kusum Smelters as a forward-thinking player in the industry.
