Lodha Goes All-In: A ₹1.3 Lakh Crore Tech Revolution

Four months after signing a ₹30,000 crore memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government for the development of a data centre project, Lodha Developers has committed an additional investment of ₹1 lakh crore.

On 19 January, Abhishek Lodha, Managing Director and CEO of Lodha Developers, formalised the expanded investment through a new MoU with the Maharashtra government at the World Economic Forum in Davos. With a total proposed investment of ₹1.3 lakh crore, the project will develop a 2.5 GW data centre park, positioning it as the largest of its kind in India.

The data centre park is expected to generate more than 16,000 direct and indirect jobs and attract both domestic and international players. Global firms such as Amazon and Singapore-based STT Global Data Centres have already acquired land within the park.

Commenting on the investment, Abhishek Lodha said that Maharashtra’s development trajectory under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has inspired strong confidence in committing to the large-scale project, reflecting the company’s long-term growth vision for the state.
