Maharashtra Gears Up for Power Line Overhaul

The Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) has announced tenders for the relocation of power line crossings in several key districts. The contracts involve shifting overhead low-tension (LT) and high-tension (HT) power lines, as well as distribution transformers (DTCs), to facilitate road upgradation and widening projects.

The first tender covers the relocation work in Nashik and Ahmednagar districts, with a total contract value of ₹55.05 crore. The second tender pertains to the same type of work in the Sangli and Kolhapur districts, with a higher contract value of ₹60.42 crore.

These projects are essential for supporting infrastructure improvements and ensuring that road widening efforts can proceed without interruptions. The relocation of power lines is crucial to avoid conflicts with ongoing and future road construction activities, thereby minimizing disruptions and enhancing road safety.

The deadline for submitting bids for these tenders is 22 August 2024. The successful contractors will play a key role in advancing Maharashtra's infrastructure development goals and improving connectivity across these important regions.
