The Maharashtra Water Resources Department (WRD) has invited bids for key infrastructure works under the Shivna Takli Medium Irrigation Project in Kannad taluka, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
The ₹128.3 crore project involves completing all remaining allied works on the right main canal—from 22 km to 55 km—in Vaijapur taluka, as well as installing a closed pipe distribution network (PDN) across command areas in both Kannad and Vaijapur talukas. The execution timeline is set at 24 months.
This initiative aims to modernize irrigation infrastructure, improve water use efficiency, and ensure equitable water distribution across agricultural command areas. The PDN system is expected to significantly enhance irrigation coverage and support sustainable agricultural productivity.
The last date for bid submission is 30 October 2025.
