Maharashtra Seeks Bids for 1,150 MW Hybrid Power Project

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) has issued a tender for procuring 1,150 MW of wind-solar hybrid power.

This long-term project aims to enhance grid-connected power from intra-state projects with an additional greenshoe option for another 1,150 MW. Bidders are required to submit their proposals by July 31, 2024.

Each project must include both wind and solar components, with at least 33% capacity from each. Eligible projects include those under development or those already commissioned but without a long-term power purchase agreement. The tender emphasizes the use of certified technology to minimize risks.
