Siemens is set to expand its manufacturing capacity in India to meet both domestic and global demand under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. At the Elecrama 2025 event in Greater Noida, Matthias Rebellius, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and CEO of Smart Infrastructure, reiterated the company’s dedication to India’s industrial and economic growth. Since 2015, Siemens has invested over Rs 9,000 crore in the country, with an additional Rs 1,100 crore pledged in November 2023.
The company operates 32 factories and employs more than 34,000 people across India. Rebellius highlighted India’s significance as an innovation hub, stressing the government’s focus on digitalisation to boost energy efficiency, grid management, and manufacturing capabilities.
