RailTel Corporation of India has secured a Rs 288 crore contract to implement Kavach, an indigenous anti-collision system, across 71 stations and 502 route kilometers in the East Central Railway region.
Kavach significantly boosts rail safety by automatically engaging brakes to avert accidents when signals are ignored or when a collision is imminent. This project represents one of RailTel's largest signaling initiatives, enhancing both safety and operational efficiency.
As a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, RailTel is a prominent telecom infrastructure provider in India.
