The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced a tender for the design and construction of a 1.2 km creek bridge between Murbe and Palghar in Maharashtra's Palghar district. The project, a crucial infrastructure development, is expected to significantly improve connectivity in the region.
The scope of work includes the full range of project activities, from design to construction, procurement, and commissioning. The contractor will be responsible for delivering a fully functional bridge, along with the necessary access and approach roads to the site. The project is structured as a performance-based lump-sum turnkey contract, ensuring that the contractor is accountable for the complete delivery of the bridge.
The MMRDA has set a tight timeline for this ambitious project, with the construction work expected to be completed within 48 months. This includes the time required to secure all necessary environmental and other regulatory clearances.
Interested bidders have until 13 September 2024 to submit their proposals. This project marks a significant step forward in the development of infrastructure in the Palghar district, promising to enhance transport links and boost the local economy.
